Diane's been making canvas covers since 1975 and has also spent many years sailing and living aboard, so she understands the importance and the necessity of good quality, proper fit and ease of use.
Outrigger Canoes: Diane is currently designing several custom & universal patterns for OC1 & OC2 canoes and has created custom patterns for Mirage and Holopuni OC3 including trampolines and covers for the main hull, amas, mast/sails and Iakos. 	Ocean Designs exclusively uses Sunbrella fabric which will last from 10 to 15 years. Inside seams are finished with overlock stitching so there are no raw edges. To protect the boat from contact with fasteners, there is a double thickness fabric flap added between the boat and the back of the fasteners to eliminate contact. All fasteners and trim are top of the line. Details are effective and always aesthetically pleasing. Enjoy your boat and protect your investment.
Note: Diane makes custom covers for any boat and prices vary according to the project at hand and fabric used. The very best is Sunbrella, the industry standard for long lasting marine use. The second option (just for canoes - 1/3 less expensive) is called Odyssey 3 which is similar to light cordura but made out of Polyester, which will hold up in the sun far longer than any nylon.
